it's monday and i'm back to the grind. orders to self for this week:
  • work really really hard to deserve the nice weekend you just had. also, if you don't, you'll have more negative flexitime and willl eventually get fired.
  • think as little as possible about the slight bell chiming, star bursting, skin tingling that has been happening recently. you know from Long experience that the drama and the deliciousness of anticipation are the best part. the more you think about it, the more you'll start wondering about 'next steps' and 'closing the deal' and other such. pointless. enjoy this part. if it all goes away, at least you had the sweet giggly part and this is what we live for, Opheliac.
  • use the new phone on tuesdays and thursdays but old phone on all other days. old phone rocks. new phone is a rock. but has internet capabilities, so i wouldn't throw it under a bus just yet.
  • don't get tricked into thinking people at work are part of your life. they are just people at work.
  • don't look forward to the weekend that much. really, it's pathetic - you're an almost-28 professional, not 17 and temping at Baby GAP.

coming from someone who does not remember what it is like to have a weekend:
darling PLEASE don't stop looking forward to them!
(am living vicariously through weekends reported on blogs and emails! if they shut that down too, i will - horror of horrors - have to start doing them myself!)

ps - extremely randomly - have you ever been to stockholm?
