st patrick's day

onwards to easter vacation. although, ha ha, it ain't no vacataion at all. there is a looming tangle of 5 essays, a portfolio and 3 exams to think about. on top of which, i have been my usual practical self and taken on 2 part time jobs. it isn't impossible to do all this actually; just impossible if you have a 5 minute attention span.
which is why my computer finds me attempting to clear a backlog at 5.40 in the morning on a saturday; that too because i can't go back to sleep after a fun 3.22 AM fire alarm experience. what i don't get is, if we are charged for every time someone's puke has to be cleaned up from the bar stools, why can't we charge them for faulty wiring?
all i want just now is a simple day of rest and relaxation; no essay, no reading unless i want to, no translating, no editing, and no gallivanting either. and saturday was supposed to be it! no fair! it would be so nice going to sleep without worrying about the things to do when i wake up, or to lie awake in bed, just. grumble grumble.
well, better start working, before battery runs out. oh ya, have left my laptop power cord at school again. sometimes, life is so d-oh...
