another 'it's all good' kinda post
another week has gone by. this week i've begun to use a phone card to call india. makes a huge difference to my mobile phone expenditure. the fact that it's such an organised kind of thing to do would have scared me very much before. but organisation is crying out to be the biggest new thing to integrate into my routine-less free existence. queen elizabeth I said 'i am myself, alone and free. may i have the strength to bear all this freedom.' well, shekhar kapoor thinks that's what she said anyway. don't bother watching 'Elizabeth - the golden age' in a cinema, by the way. get a dvd at some point and snigger your way through alternative titles for it as you along - Elizabeth: the royal booty call; Elizabeth: that time when English weather defeated the Spanish Inquisition. Clive Owen thinks he acts with his eyes and the surprisingly deep voiced Mena Suvari lookalike handmaiden wench thinks she acts with the bridge of her nose. best of luck to them.
yesterday i saw 'Wicked' finally. it was good. no disparaging after-line.
today i have no work, no plans, except perhaps a trip to south bank to see a fireworks display. the mayor's at it again... Ken Livingstone and the Thames are a dynamite combo. soon they will start popping mince pies out of the depths to keep the thronging millions at the riverside in spite of (yes, bitterly) cold winds.
work resumes on Monday, and i hope i can muster much much more motivation for it next week. plateaus are my hardest hurdle. best of luck to me.
p.s.: these fireworks weren't ken's apparently. part of the lord mayor (of the City of London) 's annual parade thingie.
