very clever
way to cut the week in half - take a duvet day on wednesday! of course, it helps if you had a dirty stopout on monday, and kind of snoozed all through tuesday... but ya, this is going to be a welly short week.
today i called in sick, and then cooked coconut keema curry. yum. then proceeded to eat it all up in three instalments, interspersed with a final bout of roswell season 3, which i have now put to bed. satisfied, i think, the lovebirds got married, the parents found out everything, the separation of another pair of lovebirds added just the right touch of melancholy. then i did the washing up, and put my clothes in the wash. caught up with mom a little, through Gtalk, bless its soul. she's been feeling neglected lately.
still not feeling motivated about work though. boss emailed me, trying to get me to rustle up some costs for a rushed proposal.. but i flatly refused. getting too cheeky? i think so. worrrkkkkk bose worrkkk.... let's see. the xmas party was kind of like a social life watershed for me, in my head. now that's done with, i should be able to concentrate a bit more. shallow, childish, flighty? yep. well, it's almost the holidays now. they've even started providing mince pies at client meetings! i love it.
my room is benefitting from the new IKEA lighting, especially after a friend went and got me bulbs for the damn things. don't ask... the tall uplishter is too bright at night (although strangely mellow at dusk), so i've found the perfect orangey yellowey scarf to drape over it (yours, inky). had tried a purple scarf to start with, but that was way too boudoir.. and not in a good way.
i have a lot of little errands to run, bits and pieces to take care of. RSA Visa, fix the new and newly torn dress, um.. can't even remember the rest. i'm hurtling towards the holidays i think.. kind of wishing away everything else in between. hope they don't disappoint. and after that, i must make some strong new year resolutions.
for now though, life is all ha ha hee hee.
