looooong weekend

this is just to give you an idea of how cool my new phone's camera is.

this one is in the Tate's Turbine Hall, during a 'live performance' as part of tate's 'long weekend bank holiday' festival. (that's the british - so many words, so little content; i still don't know Why it was a holiday). a bunch of people with creepy face plaster and makeup went about staring suddenly at anyone. they would clutch someone and point up at us standing on the bridge above. after a while they got into a circle and chanted eerily, voices rising as the chant went on. then at the clap of a hand, they all collapsed stylishly dead. (very been there done that much better). one woman standing next to me let out a breath at the end and said 'and they call that an art installation...'. well it is! it may have been executed poorly, but it gave me 6 minutes of free fun on a rainy saturday.
